The TX license is a bitch. A huge soul-sucking, wallet-draining bitch so make sure he knows that. FIRST, he has to pass the $400 TX jurisprudence course and then he can pay all of the other fees to get copies of everything submitted and then I think the application fee is $1800. and that is why my husband is still licensed in Indiana. ($250 e/o year)

      Jenn,
If he's licensed in another state, can he use that license to practice in TX? I'll check the med board website, because God knows we have already paid a TON of money to the CA board already.
Saving some $$ would be ideal.

Nope. This is Texas, where they still think they're their own country. NO reciprocity at all for any license. I let my Social Work license from Maryland expire when we were here the first time because I basically would have had to redo everything, including clinicals to re-license here. F that.

Oh yes, we're almost done paying the in-laws back for all the fees. We had to borrow from both FIL and DH's aunt & uncle. So fun.
