My guy flew to Ann Arbor this morning. He's having dinner now with some of the top docs in the nuc. med. dept and then tomorrow he will have ten 30 minute interviews with other docs there. Neither of us have ever been to Michigan, so it's pretty new and exciting. Of course.......time will tell if this is the right place for us. I can barely wait for him to call me tonight to tell me how dinner went!!!!!

Ann Arbor
That is so neat..I remember when Thomas interviewed in Florida for fellowship...I waited all day for the call and then he called me from his hotel balcony. He was staring down at an alligator in a little pond that they had and was throwing down pieces of his ham sandwich for it He was so excited about the fellowship program ... we were there for two years!
I hope that his interviews went well and that gets the job!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep us posted!!!

I have lived in Michigan for most of my life, and have lived in Ann Arbor for 8 years of it (4 of them during college). Jennifer is right, it is a great place to live since it is a "college town" with lots of cultural events and activities. I personally love it here and would be happy to live here forever! 8)
My husband is a soon-to-be 2nd-year urology resident at the U of M hospital. If you have any questions about the area or if your guy has questions about the hospital, feel free to PM me. I hope his interview went well and that he liked what he saw!
An aside... I was sitting in the dermatology clinic at the U of M hospital yesterday and saw a guy walk by in the hallway wearing an interview suit and carrying one of those folders that interviewees always seem to carry and I remember wondering if he was interviewing for fellowship. Could it have been your guy ... ?? 8O~Jane

Thanks everyone. Well, his dinner went well....and now he is going through all of those interviews. They told him last night that if he was considered a good candidate that they would have him return in a few weeks to present a few cases and do a lecture.
So, now I am waiting until later tonight for him to return home.
And, migirl, no, that that was not him in the derm clinic.
You Michigan folks are getting me excited now, I must admit!!! Thanks for the support and info.
