Do it when you get the chance, you will not be disappointed. Istanbul really is as magical as it's rumored to be. We absolutely loved it.

Finding a new place!!! A 3+ bedroom house to rent and using the pool at the inlaws has been wonderful for E and me.

Spending 8 days with DH in Grenada to celebrate our 20th anniversary (which isn't until next month...AFTER school starts). We had a wonderful time, but it is nice to be home.

Best part of summer? Graduating with my Master's. Buying a new house. And the 10 beautiful days in Greece. I'm ready to go back. NOW.

If you've never been out of all 8 countries I have travled to, Greece is by far the most amazing.

Unearthing the 'sweet' in my 9 year old. Whether it's because he sees behaviors modeled at school, or is frustrated socially at school, or what ... he turned into such a stinker during the school year that I barely knew him. 2 months out of that daily environment and I have my lovable, helpful, sweet guy back -- and we're enjoying each other. I'm going to keep a close eye on it when school starts again so I don't lose him all over again. It's so much better when everyone isn't snapping at one another.

Renewing our wedding vows on the beach in Cancun. Besides the vow renewal, my favorite part of the trip was assisting our resorts conservation staff with the sea turtles that came on the beach to lay their eggs. When we checked in I mentioned to our conceirge that I love sea turtles and he told me that I was in luck because their mating season was just kicking off and if I would like he could arrange for the conservation staff to call me whenever one of the turtles came ashore to lay their eggs and I could help them move the eggs to the protected nursery they had set up. So 6 out of the 7 nights we were there I got the call and was able to go be what DH calls a "turtle doula". Definitely one of the most awesome experiences I've had. We actually considered going back in August when the eggs are scheduled to hatch so I could help release the hatchlings into the Caribbean Sea. Too bad we can't swing it financially....

                            Love reading this thread!

                            1. I have taken the kiddos to Jellystone twice which has been fun. I also managed to get in some reading (well...skimming. I assume I wont be reading books again until Zoe is in elementary school! LOL)

                            2. I got my back Perennial garden by the pond completely covered in weed guard and then recovered it in wood chips. What a RELIEF not to fight the weeds every few days!

                            3. I got my Vineyard finished and am so much happier with it. I removed all of the wooden trellises and replaced them with metal posts and wire. So much sturdier and much less of an eyesore. Lots of grapes this year to look forward to!

                            4. OK....the ultimate, most fabulous is going to happen today at 3pm.

                            Drumroll please...and don't laugh.

Yes, I am buying this at 3pm today. I found it on Craigslist. It needs a little TLC, but I am sooooo excited. I am taking the kids to Montana to Glacier National Park and we are going to go camping this time! Basically, I figure that if we hate it, $300 is not too big of an investment. Also, I don't have the cash right now to throw at a more expensive model. I'm going to change out the foam cusions for sleeping and fix the minor fraying of the tent part myself. I can't wait. I'm so excited. Everyone think of me at 3 PM! I will be posting multiple pictures later today!

Our 10 year anniversary trip to the Mayan Riveria. Hanging out at home with the kids (although this is getting old). Not having to be anywhere.
