Hey guys-

Rick and I were talking last night and it really just dawned on us that we have a little over a month left of residency sooooooo

Thank You to each and every one of the participants/members of medicalspouses. I seriously doubt that I could have gotten through this incredibly trying (yet rewarding in it's own sick way) time in what was then a brand new marriage, a brand new town, while I worked at a brand new job and had NO friends.

You all ROCK!!

No, YOU rock. Congrats!!!! Seriously, we have some sort of mutual admiration society going on here. This whole place rocks.

While the transition in our house will not be as trying as the transition occuring in many of your households, we are coming out of clinical responsibilities and going into the research lab this summer! All the residents who have gone before us in this program rave about this period. I'm cautiously hoping that we catch a reprieve from stress, time crunches, and financial woes. Sean will be able to moonlight for the first time ever! I'm definitely looking forward to "snoozing for dollars" a.k.a. neurosurgery home call weeks, which we hear are pretty lucrative!

Come on July 1! I can't believe that three years have passed! When we heard we would be moving to Minnesota for seven years it sounded like a life sentence or bad karma or something of the sort. But here we are and things are looking up. (Feel free to break into song with me at this point "I'm walking on sunshine!")
