Not much going on this weekend for me. It's really too hot to do much of anything outside. Hubby is on call (in-house) this weekend so he won't be around much. I have a Netflix to watch and some library books (finishing up a good fiction book). Also have some house stuff to do. What does everyone else have planned?

Taking three of the five pets to the vets (the first two went today), braving Costco for dog food and heading to a neighborhood birthday party tomorrow night.
Nothing too exciting since World Cup ended.

ETA: the grand total for two dogs and three cats plus ear infection medicine (Honey), flea pills and heart worms pills (one box each shared by both dogs), sedation exam and shots for Trouble, exam and shots for Stretch, exams and annual meds for both dogs and the grand total is: $678.00. At least they weighed Darla for free. (and she's up 6 ounces! Yay!)Last edited by DCJenn; 07-17-2010, 03:59 PM.

Taking the kids to the pool and another birthday party at Chuck E Cheese on Sunday. Maybe I can talk DH into doing that the birthday chore. Fingers crossed. I'd love to sew. I'm piecing together an awesome quilt top right now. I'd like to finish the top this weekend, but I'm not hopeful. Weekends are crazy in the summer.-Ladybug

DS comes home from spending three weeks with my folks! We are celebrating his 6th birthday (we missed celebrating with him--he was with my folks). It will be interesting how I pull off the celebration. DH is on-call all weekend. We may end up pulling him out of bed at 2:00 AM to sing "Happy Birthday." Cake under the stars!

DH has a "golden weekend". No call, and he was post call today - got off at 7:00 a.m. - so it's almost like a 3-day weekend. We haven't really planned anything except relaxing and spending time together. So nice!!! (Then, to make up for it, he only gets one day completely off for about a month...) But we're really excited for the time together. He's going to grill some steaks tomorrow. Yum!Laurie

I just finished painting 7 pieces of furniture, so I'm probably going to go curl up and die somewhere soon...
Other than that, tomorrow I'm making a trip to Restoration Hardware to see if they have handles that will fit the crap I repainted--Lowes was a bust. Then to the other side of the city for an "at home" wedding reception for a friend who got married out of state a few weeks ago. Then, since I'll be close to my old home, I'll go visit my poor mommy, who seems so heartbroken that I'm "married and gone"--even though I've been 3 hours away for the past 4 years and I'm now living in the same city. Go figure.
Sometime Sunday we are moving 3 heavy clothes armoires my parents are giving us over here--method of transportation has yet to be figured out. Thank goodness my brothers are home--hopefully I can be "management" during this move! Then I want to do something fun because Sunday will be my last day before I start my first "real" job.Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

Its been a long weekend for me. Its also and Mommy and Me weekend. My mom got in late Wednesday evening and leaves Sunday morning. Thursday we went to a museum and farmers market. After we came home and cooked with our buys. Yesterday we went to an old town near where I live and shopped. After we went to a goodwill and found a brand new bread machine for 25 bucks! We made Challah and a nice shabbat dinner. J got to join us for both dinners, but he is on call today (Saturday). We are being lazy bums today. We will probably make the usual trip to target. J's mom makes this fantastic honey whole wheat bread in her breadmaker and I have the recipe so we are going to attempt making that. Yum Yum!
Tomorrow after I drop her off at the airport my friends are having a cupcake wars party. We are bringing cupcakes from every cupcake place in the area and then cutting them up and trying them all to determine which is the best.-L.Jane

Any fun weekend plans?
Dh is off after a very busy week (partner on vacation) and it is the first weekend in a long time that he has been off and everyone has been home, so we are doing family stuff. Dh and I went to see "Inception" last night and it was very good. Today we are doing some shopping (all 5 of us), giving Luke lots of driving opportunities (yikes), and going to see "Despicable Me". Tomorrow after church we are going to visit my half-sister and her two little boys....haven't seen them since Christmas!Wife of an OB/Gyn, mom to three boys, middle school choir teacher.

We've been bowling (twice) and hitting the movies. Summer without air conditioning! DH is away at a conference, but back tonight. Tomorrow, construction. We are getting serious about the remodel these days.Angie
