  • Exercise at home?

Does anybody else work out at home? I'm in need of some new fun workout dvds. I've done Yoga Booty Ballet, which is the most fun ever but I think I'm YBBed out. I've heard Zumba is awesome, but I haven't tried it yet. Any suggestions?

sometimes I think I could just do the "easy workouts" that they have in Real Simple every month..but that never works out.

Do you have On Demand with Comcast by any chance? I just started during their workouts, they have a ton. My favorite is the Jackie Warner workout, she is a personal trainer and has a show on Bravo.

We own the original Zumba series and we enjoy it a lot. Do you have a Wii? If so, the wii fit or wii fit plus are both great (only buy the wii fit plus though if you don't have either because the plus version includes everything from the first version), and DH likes the EA Active game as well. We also own the Biggest Loser game and it's really tough.

Besides the Wii, The Biggest Loser workout DVDs are pretty good and I like that they require very little or no equipment. Earlier this year we borrowed my BIL's Insanity workout series and OMG it kicked my ass so bad I quit within 2 weeks. So if brutal and hardcore is what you're into go for that.

I just bought the Wii Fit Plus and kinda love it. The cardio isn't really enough for me so I also run with DH a couple times a week, though.

I've heard fabulous things about Zumba. Recently a friend of mine had great things to say about "Mama wants her body back," she felt it was even better than Jillian's 30 day shred.

I call it never ending laudry and two flights of stairs to get it down to the wash and back up.

I like Beachbody workouts, like P90x. Slim in 6 is supposed to be good too. They really do keep you engaged and not bored, but some are really intense (Insanity) and some are on the time-consuming side, like P90x. All of them are fun, though.

With the weather being nice, I've been walking outside instead of doing the Zumba etc inside. We live in MN though and I know this nice weather is not going to last forever! LOL I have my iPhone loaded with all of my favorite songs and I head out for a good, brisk walk or jog. It's a good work-out and gets me outdoors and into the sun!

BTW, welcome...my youngest daughter is also a Zoe!

FYI, after looking it up, it seems it might automatically sign you up for a series of DVDs you might not necessarily want. Perhaps see if you can find it on ebay to avoid getting charged for extra stuff?

We just got the Wii Fit Plus and are LOVING it...and this is coming from people who have never been able to keep up any sort of exercise, ever. It helps that it's sort of like a personal trainer and evaluates your progress. Keeps the motivation going . Highly recommend!

O, how I love work out videos! my top fav are
                          1. Jillian Michaels 30 day shred/ banish fat boost metabolism and no more trouble zones
                          2. beach body
                          3. insanity
                          4. biggest loser dvds
                          4. 5 min abs/butt/legs/arms
and we just got our cable hooked up and with a 30 day trail we get free workout channels. Now if I can only figure out how to record them and save them for a later day

Our public library back home had workout videos to check out, also amazon/ebay you can always get them in bulk for pretty cheap.

TJMAX/ROSS/Big Lots and even Walmart sell really cheap workout DVDS. ($7 or less)
Hope that wasn't too much info!

I've been a home exercise FOREVER (since 1994). It's so much more convenient than going to a gym. I LOVE it! I'm currently doing Turbo Fire. My absolute FAVE home workout is Chalean Extreme. I've done P90X, Insanity, Shred, and many Cathe Friedrich. Turbo Fire is AWESOME! I'm on week 4 and will combine it with CLX next week. I've gotten great results working out at home.

I have an elliptical in my dining room. I hate it because the damn thing taunts me as I sit in the living room sipping my wine. I want to buy a Wii Fit Plus. Whenever we finally get a paycheck (supposed to get one Friday).
