Originally posted by L.Jane View PostIts also the time when the Jewish holidays start, so for me, its a time of family and thanksgiving. You have the new year, then you have Sukkot, which is a holiday where you get to eat outside in a "hut" and enjoy the wonderful seasonal weather. Then my favorite holiday Simchat Torah comes along with lots of singing and dancing.
My sister lives in Phoenix, and her kids think it's a great adventure to come here for the holidays. We're above 7000 feet and get our first snow in October. It snows off & on until late December. From then until early March, I'm pretty much snowed in all the time, unless DH plows the drive with his tractor (which he did almost every evening last year). Even then, he has to put chains on the van so I can get to the paved road. I doubt we'll ever live in another place where we have a steep sledding hill covered with snow three months of the year!

love love love fall! I have already had 5 pumpkin spice lattes, and baked two loaves of pumpkin bread! I have been in fall mode for a while, with the shop you have to start putting fall out at the end of August. So excited I have two places to decorate now.
Favorite parts-
pumpkins everywhere
amazing weather
lazy college football days with DH (when hes home)
christmas shopping (I start now!)
A batch of homemade Fig Infused Vodka, to make fig martinis
