YUM! We're just starting to pick ours. They last us all winter.

Not nuts at all! The smell of fall is one of the best things about it.

Then my favorite holiday Simchat Torah comes along with lots of singing and dancing.
Cool - I've been wanting to teach our kids more about Jewish holidays & kosher eating, but we're starting completely from scratch and don't know anyone personally who practices Judaism, so this is fun to read! Maybe this fall should be our year to start.

My sister lives in Phoenix, and her kids think it's a great adventure to come here for the holidays. We're above 7000 feet and get our first snow in October. It snows off & on until late December. From then until early March, I'm pretty much snowed in all the time, unless DH plows the drive with his tractor (which he did almost every evening last year). Even then, he has to put chains on the van so I can get to the paved road. I doubt we'll ever live in another place where we have a steep sledding hill covered with snow three months of the year!

DH made a fire in our wood fireplace last night and it was great. It gets pretty chilly here at night.

              Brandi, you are very festive!

DS has had his costume for three weeks! And we just got our mums for the porch yesterday.

love love love fall! I have already had 5 pumpkin spice lattes, and baked two loaves of pumpkin bread! I have been in fall mode for a while, with the shop you have to start putting fall out at the end of August. So excited I have two places to decorate now.

                      Favorite parts-
                      pumpkins everywhere
                      amazing weather
lazy college football days with DH (when hes home)
                      christmas shopping (I start now!)
A batch of homemade Fig Infused Vodka, to make fig martinis
