A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising
agency did a good job of putting the figure into perspective in one of its
releases:

A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.

A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.

A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes ... at the rate
Washington spends them.

US military budget for day-to-day operations this year: ~360 Billion
Estimated additional cost due to the war:~ estimated at 62.6 billion..but all costs unknown...trying to use money from Iraqi oil to offset costs highly unlikely due to world opinion

Just a little more money info.

Estimated costs for a comprehensive universal healthcare coverage that would cover working americans not currently insured thanks to their scum-sucking, millions of dollar a year earning company CEOs....between 100-150 billion dollars.

In Michigan alone, the financial loss to hospitals due to the uninsured was 1.5 billion dollars in 2000. Factor in 49 other states. What about employers losses due to sick workers?
