(Is this the right forum for child-rearing stuff?)
oh, nononononono...as I said before in the thread title.
MY FOUR-AND-A-HALF MONTH OLD IS CRAWLING. REALLY EFFECTIVELY, TOO!! Inch-worm crawling EVERYWHERE. And she's really fast and quiet, too!
OH, HELP!!!! This is terrible. WAY TOO EARLY FOR CRAWLING. Mobility = headaches for Mom.
My others did not crawl until way later. I think DD#2 just so desperately wants to be with her big sibs that she's made up her mind to be mobile. And she gets MAD AS HECK if she's cruelly "imprisoned" in a playpen, jumpy-thing, or any other sort of normal baby play area.
SHE CAN'T EVEN SIT UP WELL BY HERSELF. She's still at that "I can sit for a minute or two then I topple over and look like an overturned turtle" phase.
This weekend, I placed her on the carpet in the kids' bedroom, and she crawled out of the room, down the hall (and it's a long hall!), and UNDER MY BED. We couldn't find her. It wasn't until we heard her laughing at the dog that we finally located her.
