  • The fort bed....

Door isn't done, it isn't painted (and probably won't ever be ! LOL)

It decided it wasn't a pirate bed. It's a fort.

Here are the pics so far.

Kris, you went above and beyond by adding the Wii and the bookshelf. You're amazing.

I want to pay you rent to live in that. Once your little guy is done with it, of course.

LOL Thanks guys! I have had such an awesome time building these. Alex has these detailed plans now for a bed that basically takes up his whole room...with secret passages and safes to lock up his valuables (LOL) ... ummmm... yah right! This is one of those things that I never in a million years thought I could do.

When I was renovating my pop-up this summer, my neighbor brought over his miter saw and showed me how to use it. I decided to give it a try. I've been searching for a creative outlet to help me relax and sort of ... stay focused. It's fun and the kids are so excited by it. Whenever I head out to the garage and pull out the saw, my kids spend hours sitting and talking to me while I work. It's awesome.

It's been a learning experience...as in....there are things about the beds I've made that aren't perfect....but I'm sort of over that.

                              I appreciate the positive feedback.

Today we had a couple over with their two year old and she spent nearly 2 hours going down Aidan's slide!

He is just waiting for me to get the door on his fort with a lock ... and a sign that says "No Big Brothers Allowed". Crack. me. up.
