  • Winter Comforts

OK... Its not technically winter just yet, but we had a thread about our favorite things about fall... Lets look at the positive side of winter.

One of my favorite things during winter....

    - Drinking soup from a mug under a blanket next to the cold window.

    Whats yours?

It's down to 70 degrees during the day. I can ALMOST wear tights without sweating my arse off.

Ha! It's 72 degrees in Kansas today. This weather can't make up its mind.

I love sweaters and bundling up in the winter.

Snow! Sledding, taking pictures of branches heaped with snow, crunching through knee-deep drifts in tall boots.
            Hot chocolate, peppermint. Red scarves...

Chocolate peppermint cookies from Trader Joe, watching Christmas Vacation over and over, using the fireplace.

Today! It's snowing, DH is off-call, and we're in our sweats eating soup and grilled cheese sandwiches watching the snow fall. It's so cozy and peaceful.

Starbucks Christmas lattes, watching my dog frolic through the snow, stepping on ice that makes a crunchy sound. By the end of January, however, I am ready for spring. Winter is so much better in theory.

My thoughts exactly. Thus the reason I started this thread. Trying to keep the positive feeling! Its soooo tough though. Especially when you think about digging your car out of three feet of snow... shh.. positive thoughts.. snow angels and fuzzy socks!
