So, anyone have a record on the most parties for one holiday season? We have three and he says there may be one more. It's like med school all over again (lab party, dept party, etc.). I may have to get more creative with outfits.

If you want to go, don't buy or plan an outfit. Wait until the last minute and wear something you already have. If you don't want to go, buy a new dress and take the tags off it.
I think we're going to pass on the 4th party. We did the center's party, we'll do the peds party and the dept's. That's plenty.Veronica

I think I've worn the same outfit to the department holiday party for the last 3 years in a row. It's a pretty nondescript holiday outfit (red sweater with sequin detail and a black skirt with a lace overlay), so I just figure no one will remember ... after all, I couldn't tell you what any of the other wives wore last year!~Jane

We're missing all of them. There is something this Friday. DrK is on call (in the hospital all night). We'll be out of town for the holiday party. And I don't think my firm is having one but we wouldn't go anyway.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.

Dh's is a big thing at a swanky hotel where people are planning on getting sloshed and paying $300 for a room. I'm already tachycardic just thinking about this party, because there's no excuse to not go. They're hiring babysitters for people with kids. I'm already not looking forward to stuffing myself into spanx and pretending that I've got my sh*t together.

Or make it a holiday party where you can dress up or go in jeans. . Are Julie and Lily cringing at the thought of that?!
