Gotway. Yes, the words "got" and "way" and no, I am not the one who "gotaway" because there is no "a" between the two words. And if you ever meet another Gotway, you are meeting one of DH's relatives. It's a made-up name. Ha ha!

People always seem to spell my name with 2 r's yet I've never met anyone who spelled it that way.
I heartily embraced my married name. My maiden name is a girls first name similar to "Cassy"--50% of people would switch them upon hearing or reading it. Did you really think my last name was Marissa? The best was when they would respond to an email incorrectly when my name was clearly listed at the bottom in my signature.Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

My MIL gets me evangelical feel-good, superficial, one-dimensional, mind-numbing Christian "how to" books E.V.E.R.Y. year for Christmas. The topics are usually on how to be a better Christian wife, mom, whatever. And, invariably, the books always belittle women who WOTH.
I do not read self-help books. Just not my thing. And I do not read those types of "Christian" books, period. It is just a way for her to remind me of how little she respects my spiritual life.
The one solace I have is that she buys the same stuff for DH! So, apparently, she doesn't respect him, either!

Ha ha, my mother insists on buying us religious books, crosses, nativity scene sets etc. Every year for most occasions despite knowing we're agnostic. I'm not sure if she's trying to push my buttons, bait me into yet another debate, or convert/save me.Charlene~Married to an attending Ophtho Mudphud and Mom to 2 daughters

Nobody ever screws up my married last name. Ever. It's so common I've decided I miss my maiden name, which was slightly obscure without being impossible. Oh well.Julia - legislative process lover and general government nerd, married to a PICU & Medical Ethics attending, raising a toddler son and expecting a baby daughter Oct '16.
