  • Fun Weekend Plans?

Anyone have something fun planned for the weekend? We are going to a friend's house for brunch on Saturday. She lives on a lake with a beach which means swimming for the kids! We may also go to Valley Fair (an amusement park) but it depends on the kids and whether or not they continue going to bed for us

My birthday is on Sunday! I don't know what we are doing yet, but it better include me sleeping in that day!
On Saturday, we are going to a party to celebrate some friends of ours who are finishing their fellowship! I'm so excited for them and I can't wait to hear from them what it is like on the other side!
    That's it!
    Awake is the new sleep!

Saturday is our wedding anniversary - 13 years! I am sure we are going out to do something that night. Jacob is going on an overnight scout trip that dad is supposed to go with him so the day is somewhat shot. It will be nice just to go out to a quiet dinner. I am going stir crazy with four boys in the house all the time!

Hope you all have a fun weekend!!!!

Sounds like some good things going on this weekend...

We are going to a Royals baseball game on Sunday (gotta love free tickets!). Other than that....trying to fix my blasted car.

Sue -- Happy Birthday! I hope you sleep as late as you want!
            Robin -- Happy Anniversary!!

We are sort of having a long weekend because Eric had a week of vacation to use up by 7/1 so he took the rest of the week off after returning from Rome.
We had a lovely hike today. 6 hours by ourselves! I'm tired and a little dehydrated (I, uh, forgot to clean out my Camelbak and saw mold in the tubing 8O which killed my desire to drink from it. Gross).

We're going to do a hike with my brother that is short enough for Bryn to walk alone. Spend some time at the pool and maybe do an early trip to the zoo with friends.

Right now I just need to rest from today!

Have fun at the lake, Kris.

Ah, baseball and crying kids....there really isn't anything quite like it.

Well, we made it to the game, free tickets in hand, paid our $6 to park and meandered with the 40,000 other fans through the parking lot and into the stands. As we were sitting down (after the opening first half of the inning was already over!) the Royals hit a home run 10 rows below us!
After that things pretty much went down hill! It was about 87 degrees, Drew was terribly cranky since it was his "normal" naptime, DW had Colton strapped to her in the front pack carrier was sweating like a polar bear in Hawaii. We called it quits after the third inning and headed home, in need of naps and showers!!

I think that we will fire up the grill this evening for some good eatin'!

Happy Birthday Sue, Happy Anniversary Robin & Russ.

Kris, how was Valley Fair? If you didn't happen to go, perhaps we could meet up there sometime. We've talked about going for awhile.

Matt, thanks for the baseball game anecdote. We've talked about going, but are not sure how much the little guy will get out of it. I think that you helped us decide.
