  • Spider Bite?

Anybody have any experience with spider bites?

Yesterday I noticed a large (size of my palm) bruise on my calf near me knee, but I don't remember hurting myself. It's possibly I could have strained the area during my bike ride yesterday, but I'm not sure. I noticed what looks like bite marks near the bruise this morning and it's bothering me now, because it's puffier than a normal bruise.

Probably nothing, but Dr. Google has me freaked

I really don't know much about them, but my sister got bit by a spider a year or two ago...and your symptoms seem awfully similar! Hers didn't really look like a bite for a day or two, but then it got pretty nasty looking. It was more annoying than anything. She said it hurt and looked pretty freaking disgusting, but it healed quickly.

But, it probably depends on the type of critter that bit you too! Hope it disappears quickly!

I had tons of spider bites growing up as a kid it was just a hazard of where we lived. Unless the sore looks infected or you have any other symptoms we treated them just like mosquito bites - eventually they go away on their own.

        I just shuddered.

I hope it heals up quickly.

I've had plenty. There were always some lurking in our house. Ewww! I hate them! I did get one really bad one when I was in Mississippi as a teen that I still have a scar on my foot from (over 20yrs ago). I thought my foot was going to rot off. Really scary. Anyway unless it turns black and keeps swelling it will go down and feel better in a couple days. Sorry to hear. I HATE any sort of bug bite.

No...I think I'm okay. It's dark and it hurts, but I think it's just a bruise
