    I think part of the reason our residency experience has been better-than-average is due to the extras we can afford because of moonlighting.

      My DH was able to moonlight during residency, but it isn't allowed during fellowship. He knows of an EM resident making about 200K a year moonlighting. It's an extreme example.

          Wow - I know MANY emergency physicians who would like to be making $200,000 as attendings. Is he sure?

              DH did this during the research years but wouldn't have the time during training otherwise. It helped out HUGE in the finances dept. and one of the reasons we didn't end training with debt.
