                Happy Easter!

Doesn't the holiest day on the Christian calendar bring out the best in everyone? For example, in my home today, you have heard:

"You have a choice. Stop crying OR I will paddle your bottom. Which do you choose?" (She chose correctly...)

"If you do not calm down, I will take the candy in your basket and give it to your father." (Sadly, that worked...they totally believed me and they knew Dad would eat it.)

and...a sad comment NOT related to the sugar rush...

"I just know someone is going to do something stupid with a chainsaw today. Someone is not at work because of the holiday and he is going to start cleaning up from the tornado. Someone is going to fall off a ladder while using a chainsaw, or use a chainsaw while drinking, or lose control of a chainsaw and half-decapitate himself. I hate Easter."

Thank you, dear. Someone is on-call and grouchy.

Happy Easter to you all as well! DH and I were going to go to this outdoor easter service that is held every year as it is our last year here in CO...but I slept through my alarms..yes I have 3 alarms. boo. So instead we cleaned the yard up and used a chainsaw (no one got hurt)

I'm so frigging tired that I could fall alseep right here but alas, I have one more hour until the kiddo goes to sleep. I've busted my arse this entire weekend- yard work, cleaning the house, etc. The Easter Bunny came and left eggs inside and out- which was great except that ants got into the outside plastic eggs. Then we had breakfast and then I cleaned the house and mowed the lawn. Then we went off to brunch w/ our neighbor and her mother (her father is in India on business) (Biga on the Banks for those familiar w/ San Antonio.) It was amazing once again. then it was off to see our friend's band play at an outside amphitheater. I'm hot, sweaty and still feel stuffed.

Happy Easter and for those who are Christian, I hope you were able to make it to services and celebrate your day.

                    Jenn

Happy Easter! We had a great weekend with family, and so much fun with DS. (Since he was very new and I was very tired, we asked the Easter Bunny to skip our house last year.)

We actually made it to church by 7:45am! Yes, you read that right. I was up before 8. We had our own Easter miracle too (huge tree branch fell toward car instead of on kids' bedrooms). So very thankful.

Happy Easter everyone - we struggled through mass with two children and reminded ourselves why we fall into the catholics that don't attend mass regularly group.

Other then that we had a decent day, the ILs were here and now they're gone.

Entirely too cold for that sunrise business! Can it please be real spring?

My parents were visiting for the weekend, and we went to the Saturday Easter Vigil mass (my favorite church service of the year... I never miss it). Jazz brunch on Easter morning. Aside from the cold, it was a great weekend.
