Already hired someone who does not live in Florida and would like her to move here. Near Orlando.

It helps to have great bosses! And flexibility! Always a plus as a mom!

        Pre-med!?!?

So cool that you and Kris were able to help each other out.

No, not pre-med. That was the dream once upon a time. The thought of doing residency? Just kill me.

          I'm doing pre-PA.

So you can be Chad's resident, just like Luanne?

I'm not doing his charts for him. I will work with Chad, but he'll be a good "boss." This way, I'll still get to kind of do what I want, bring money into our business, and have a flexible schedule. It will take me 5 years to complete this anyway. Lexi will be 12!!! Ryan will be 18!!! Holy cow!

Are you interested in ortho, or is it just the logical extension? I can see the appeal of having a PA for simple things.

Ortho wouldn't be my first choice, no. I would likely choose peds. This way, though, I'll have more flexibility and get to work with Chad, which I like without having to do most of the crap that I now make you do (evil grin). I prefer clinical medicine to talking to insurance companies. Not that it would go away entirely, and I'd have to chart -blech. Also, this gives me the education that if something were to happen to Chad, I could support us.

The nice thing about PA school though is that there is no residency, and I am not restricted to one branch of medicine.
