We started off the day at the mall and DH called and said he'd join us for lunch. He's been with us the rest of the day but he has had to take some calls. My gift was the GPS I ordered and picked out myself last week. He did get me cards from himself and this was the first year he bought them for me "from the kids". They had fun giving them to me after naps.

Glad everyone is having such nice days!

I have to share this because it's making me chuckle every time I walk into the kitchen. My gift from DH? A selection of pastries from the hospital cafeteria. Along with a "thank you" card. They obviously didn't have mother's day cards at the VA last night. Lol. Only a dawkter would not see the difference between that and cupcakes from the nice cupcake shop. Honestly I didn't expect a gift and we tend to be poor gift givers in general but the stale donuts just cracked me up. He did help DS make a card last night though so I appreciate that

Today was an extra special Mother's Day for us since it was also DD's 10th birthday. We had both our families over for a BBQ to celebrate. It feels nice to be at peace with my own mom this year too.

Hope everyone enjoyed their Mother's Day!
