This one tugs on my heartstrings. Looking forward to the day when I can add my own.

As a sidenote, I just discovered how to add "more" icons and am looking forward to incorporating all of these fun little faces in my future posts!

        - Puke/snot/all bodily fluids no longer phase you.
        - You feel blessed to be able to eat oatmeal in the morning.
        - You have an amazing ability to operate on very little sleep.
        - Your child's laughter is the most amazing sound on the planet.
        - Your child being quiet is the scariest sound on the planet.
        - You understand what JOY really is.
        - You need sleep.
        - A shower is a treat.
        - You wonder how anyone lives through babies/toddlers while yours is awake and then want more when she falls asleep on you.
        - You get and give "knowing" looks in public with other parents.
        - Your purse contains less lip gloss/mirrors and more spare diapers, snacks and toys.
        - You see the world in a new way, suddenly a tree is the most fascinating thing in the world.
        - Your realize that your heart belongs to a tiny little creature.

You understand why some animals eat their adolescents.

The thought of any child anywhere suffering makes you sick.

You catch yourself 10 minutes into an episode of Curious George and the kids aren't even around.

You can clean up vomit in a bed/room/carpet faster than a NASCAR pit team can change tires.

You drink cold coffee...not to be confused with ice coffee.

Ah yes, Kris. DD1 was just lovely yesterday. So much so that I made her go to bed about an hour early. It's pretty sad when an almost-16 y/o needs a damn nap.

Aaah. Well, I had a little hell come to Jesus with dd1 and then dh sat her down in his office and talked to her rationally. Lol. Sigh.

I think it's funny how each parent communicates differently. DH and I have VERY different ways of talking to the kids and sometimes we have to switch off because the combo of whichever kid is being dealt with by whichever parent just isn't working well at that point.

DH is an immediate yeller who mellows as the conversation progresses. I'm REALLY patient and only tend tend to lose my shit as the conversation or nagging progresses to the point of absurdity.

You and I have very similar parenting styles. I almost never yell. Dh is the quick to flip out, gradually mellowing type too. Yesterday was like opposite day in our house! Lol. I was just sooo exhausted that I couldn't be effective anymore.

The kids have realized that when I'm at the "...because I said so," point, they just need to shut it. No good will come from continuing any conversation with me once we've hit critical mass.

Exactly! I hit critical mass last night at 8:45pm after a long day of driving kids, cleaning, cooking, homeschooling and Alex's orchestra and band concert. I fell asleep right after pulling the blanket over me last night.

Your husband is supervising your toddler and you are in the next room. Said toddler has a sippy cup of milk and is wandering around the kitchen. You hear your husband shouting, "Noooooooo, no no nooooo, don't do that!" followed by a "You won't believe what he was doing!" Without looking up you respond, "He was pouring milk into the shoes that you left beside the back door." . . . and you are right.
