I'm leaving the high 70s/low 80s for the surface of the sun next week.
    At least there's a/c where I'm headed?

I'm so glad the A/C guy talked us into getting the higher powered system. It was a little more expensive, and I usually freeze if I'm under a vent while it's blowing, but it's mostly managed to keep it cool in here, even in the evening when our old system would just run constantly to keep it a few degrees higher than comfortable.

We have an open house today. I have the A/C cranked down to 67 right now, hoping to get everything really cooled off this morning before it really heats up outside.

Deebs, good luck with the open house!!

Diggity, love it. You are definitely winning.

I survived the pool party. We ate pizza for dinner and were sweating from the act of chewing. Apparently, the pool gets late afternoon/early evening shade, so once the pizza was done, we hopped in the pool. The lifeguard said the water temp was 91 degrees!!!! It didn't feel like it with the shade and it was a lot better than sweating on dry land. DH came after work and decided not to swim, even though my dad went back home and brought swim trunks for him to use. He was being a total asshat yesterday, but if he wanted to stand there next to the pool and sweat to death, that's his problem. I'm glad he went to work today and shared his asshat-ness with others, sparing me until tomorrow.

It's going to be 102 here today. The heat index will be lower, but the chance for t-storms is higher. Makes no sense.
