Tonight we're having grilled KC strips, grilled veggies and bread and a great bottle of wine. I love when DH is home and has time to cook.

I decided to remind my family that I can, indeed, actually work a stove. It's been humid as ass and too damn hot around here so I we've had a few too many "fend for your own" and salad nights. Tonight was:

        - Grilled wild-caught salmon (because I hate farm-raised)
        - Asparagus quickly pan fried in sesame oil with kiwi chunks and a little lime juice
        - salad from the garden
        - Oregon Pinot Noir (I highly rec Kings Estate Reserve)

We are also avoiding using the oven if at all possible! It's ridiculous how hot it makes the house...

Google Martha Stewarts tomato tart. I'm traveling or I'd do it and link it.
