DH and I just went to Kuby's in Snider Plaza tonight. I don't know how you would get there without a car, but if you like German food...you HAVE to go. It was AMAZING.

Don't feel bad Rapunzel...I spent my high school years and college summers here and didn't know about any of these places/areas until we moved near downtown. Suburban life was a wonderful bubble.

We are in Dallas and it's HOT. We are not staying at the W, instead we are at the a Weston Galleria. I don't know what made me think we would be at the W. I could swear that we were originally scheduled to be there. Anyway, the Weston is nice. We ate at Gloria's yesterday and really enjoyed it. Hubby said it was fabulous and appreciated the rec too. Thanks so much. Today after the tour of Cowboy stadium we plan adventure downtown on the DART and look around and dine somewhere. I'm in the mood for an authentic Texas bbq. We are having a great time.

Oh wow, that's in a totally different area! On the bright side...easy access to shopping! Grand Lux Cafe is a sister restaurant of the Cheesecake Factory if that is your thing.

I'd definitely look for BBQ downtown...the closest legit thing to you in Addison is Bone Daddys...thing Hooters+Bikers with a little pedophilia thrown in...

Oh, and it is supposed to cool off Sunday...to a high of 94. We'll take it!

Bone Daddy's is very good. Are you sure you're not up to a friendly visit?

Sonny Bryans has good BBQ - I'm not sure if there's a close location, but they're everywhere. Our favorite was Mike Anderson's, but you probably don't want to go around that neighborhood without a car.

I agree - Grand Lux is yummy!!!

You know, I've heard that. It's just the waitresses with the frilly socks that freak me out. My coworkers have been threatening to plan a lunch there

Russ would second third and fourth Mike Anderson's...but yeah, right across from the hospital is NOT where you want to be without a car.

Don't go to the Sonny Bryans on Inwood. Any other location is fine. DH LOVES the food (I thought it was just okay), but it is the most "authentic" atmosphere I've ever seen. Like...I wanted to take a shower when I left. And then some homeless guy yelled at me while I was backing out, so I forgot to take off the parking brake and almost caused lots of $$$ in damage driving my car like that on the highway.

Anyhoo. I've heard good things about this place, but it is on the pricey side:
