  • Favorite Apps?

Now that I've finally caught up with the times and got an iPhone, clue me in and tell me your favorite apps!

    Free Apps:
    - Words With Friends - scrabble game that you can play with friends
    - Netflix (if you have a subscription) - movies
    - Crackle - free movies/tv shows...no subscription needed
    - HGTVtoGO (you get a ton of the episodes for free and it keeps getting updated)
    - Pulse News and/or Flipboard - to follow news/blogs/magazines (I prefer the former)
    - Pandora - music
    - Audible - audiobooks (you can get two free if you're not already a member -- love this for when I'm cooking, driving, etc).
    - Nook/Kindle App
    - Bank of America App
    - Open Table - make restaurant reservations
    - Google Voice (low cost or free calling to other countries through this...)
    - SketchOnline - pictionary basically...
    - PIY 4 HD - piano playing program that "teaches" you how to play by lighting up the right keys...it's fun but doesn't really teach you TOO much, really...

    Paid Apps
    - Scrabble
    - Monopoly
    - PotteryHD - surprisingly addicting

I'm currently obsessed with Hanging with Friends. Pulse is also great! I also use The Daily Puppy quite often. whole foods has a decent app, and so does Yelp.

As for paid stuff, Sally's Spa is the cheesiest, most addicting game ever. I really wanna try the Spotify app, but I don't know anybody who uses it, so I don't wanna pay until
      I hear how it is.
I'm just trying to make it out alive!

Tapatalk is a forum app. It let's you see message forums without being in a browser. There are quite a few forums that use it. I have a couple of different accounts linked.

Also a Tapatalk fan--much easier than safari
MyNetDiary is my new fav weight loss app--you can scan barcodes to enter food. Granted, if it has a barcode, you probably shouldn't be eating it!

I only use the Starbucks mobile card app to pay for my Starbucks. It's really cool- tracks when you bought drinks, etc. I don't need to use my card bc the app scans at the store from my phone.

I also like angry birds, kayak, USAA banking app is awesome if u bank there, words with friends (what is hanging with friends?), countdown app (for end of residency-- down to the last second...), password keeper app... I have a lot of kid apps too--

                      Have fun shopping!!

I also use the tripit app which organizes all my travel stuff- very useful. It keeps flight info, hotel and car rental, plus you can add other people's itineraries. It's web based so you set up your account on line. I also use the cozi app which is a family calendar. Again, based off of the web.

I use those two apps all the time. Cozi is our main family calendar and it sends txt reminders for events to everyone I want to get reminders.

These seem right up my alley!

Off to go download a ton of apps...
