    The woman in question and her beautiful daughter were friends of ours. In fact, they lived in my house two summers ago when her bastard ex started trying to get sole custody.

    You know how there are really awesome and kind people in the world? That was her- her nickname at Crunchy School was Miss Veggie. She was one of the few people in life that I would describe as having a beautiful soul. I'm so sad.

      Oh Jenn, there aren't words. I am so sorry that she wasn't able to escape from him. Stories like this make me realize how lucky I am to have the support I needed to get out when I did.

                  and here's the most frustrating part about it- she REALLY tried to get Sam (her daughter) away from that fucker. Circle School parents donated legal services, we let them stay with us. The bastard was able to use that to claim that she was homeless (which, technically, she was- but she stayed w/ us and helped us out while we were travelling and saved money to rent the house. So the courts send Sam to live with her fucking asshole abusing father and his asshole abusing brother.

                  Veggie was a wreck- she knew what was happening and was powerless to stop it.
