Anyone know which specialties typically wear black scrubs? DH said ge though radiology, maybe adult ER. I guessed plastic surgery. The guy (a dad at the ballet studio) drives a viper. People actually stopped to take pics of the car. I took one from my spot at the front desk. LOL

So, since I didn't get the chance to ask, what do you think he does? Because I had nothing else to do but speculate with a couple other ballet moms. Ha ha ha!

At DH's hospital its neurosurgery. But they wear blue ones too. But he's got two black pairs with his name embroidered in black. He loves them.

In Roch they wore black in the ER, I'm not sure about here.

It doesnt help that DH is at a kids hospital so it's been a while since he's seen other colors. Peds = light blue, nicu = teal

I'm so sorry, but that sounds very morbid. I think I'd freak if I took my child to an ER and the doctor was in all black! Like they started the funeral early and the doc was in on the mourning!!

I actually said just that when we took R in shortly before we moved. It was just the adult ER but still, I don't think that is what I'd want there wearing if I was having a heart attack.

Oh and the passenger seat had a booster seat. Cute! He even let his daughter's friend sit in the driver seat while he chatted with her mom. Sweet!

did you happen to notice if he had vanity plates...sometimes the plates clue you in to the specialty.

I think it's entirely location/hospital specific. In the dude's hospital, docs wear whatever scrubs they want unless they're in the OR. In the OR it's the typical light gray/green. Everyone else's scrubs are color-coded by job title.

No front plate and I didn't get out to see the back. Maybe he'll pick his daughter up next time. Then I may have to go out to my car for something.

No one wears black scrubs at dh's hospital nor in med school...I'm still mouth ajar by the thought of a viper
