Weekend plans-- anyone, anyone?

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Kris, sorry about your car troubles and hotel mishaps. Sounds like you need a good night of rest in the AC. We attended a wedding in Michigan for my cousin. I have to say that I refuse to travel until at least Thanksgiving after the three car trips in the last two weeks. I can use my pregnancy now to avoid going anywhere.

Jane, I envy you! I hope you had fun in Saugatuck. That is my absolute favorite place!!! We stayed at a B & B there a couple years ago for our anniversary. I try to make a trip there every year.

We had a wonderful time in Saugatuck! It was our first visit (well, technically my second, but my first visit was when I was very young so I don't remember); we just wanted a quick, nice summer getaway and this seemed to fit the bill perfectly. We stayed at a B&B right on the edge of the downtown area (Saugatuck's Victorian Inn, VERY nice innkeepers) and spent our first day there wandering around the antique shops and art galleries lusting after things we couldn't afford. The second day we spent practically the whole day at the Oval Beach, I still can't get over how beautiful that beach is. Absolutely gorgeous!! The water was perfect (73 degrees) and the weather was sunny. All in all it was a wonderful trip and I definitely hope to go back soon. My best friend and her husband went there for New Year's one year and rented a cabin and she said that it was beautiful in the winter too.
