Any ideas for shower hostess gifts?

For my first, I got some cute aprons from The Merry Martini (http://www.themerrymartini.com/category/Aprons/c56). Bonus - it's owned by one of our members! This time, I got a platter of two dozen cookies and a Starbucks gift card for each of them.

For the people who are hosting a shower for you? The thought never would have occurred to me. I sent a note afterward but that was it.

I sent flowers to the person hosting my first shower the next day with a thank you note. (wives from DH's work...I didn't know them well) For my family hosted shower, I said "thank you".

I gave my hostesses brightly colored umbrellas with a little note that said, "I hope your next 'shower' is as delightful as this one!"

So cheesy, it kills me, but I just can't help myself.

              Flowers might be easy!

One of the cutest things I have gotten is a little gift pack of Penzy's spices (I love to cook)...I thought it was really a nice personal hostess gift (instead of a bottle of wine).

But I think the flowers and a card sound nice too!

A friend did personal gifts for me and her SIL when we co-hosted her shower. My gift was a gift card to a local bead store and some craft supplies. Her SIL was decorating her home and she gave her a beautiful candle holder for a shelf in the dining room. Probably over-the-top, but it was her last baby (bookend boys 13 years apart).

I've also heard of bath stuff to go along with the "shower" idea.

For my bridal showers I got them serving dishes (they all like to cook/entertain) from places like Crate N Barrel/Home Goods/Pier 1

For my work shower with K, I gave perfume minis (4 or 5 in each set) from The Body Shop to the hostesses. They loved them.

                        Thanks Laurie!

A lot of people in my area do personalized notecards, so it is personal but not very expensive. Since you are crafty you could probably get some and print the names yourself!

I sent cookie gift baskets to the hostesses of my two showers. I ordered them online and had them delivered with a nice thank you card. The hostesses loved them!
