  • ERAS!

We are leaving tonight to go camping til Monday. Then when we get back, the very next morning DH's ERAS will be submitted. It is scary and exciting at the same time.

He is coasting along in fourth year, off every weekend, and I cant say I am looking forward to 1st year Ob resident hubby working 100 hr a week with a new baby to boot.

Is anyone else submitting their ERAS on Tuesday ( sept 2 at 9am sharp!)?
    Mom to three wild women.

Yeah! That is an exciting step.
We aren't submitting ERAS because (knock on wood!!!) we have passed that stage of the game. Having done ERAS twice (and paying them twice), I remember what a great feeling it is -- exciting and a little nerve-wracking. You are starting off on a new phase of the medical life and of your lives together.
btw, did you say your husband is applying in the SE? We have a friend at UNC doing ob/gyn and I would be happy to put you in touch with them. (He loves it there).

My husband is doing the SFMatch because neurosurgery is an early match, but you're right it's a great feeling. My husband's went off this week, what a releif! We're off for a long weekend to celebrate!

Now we wait for interview offers!

        Sue Ann,

What is ERAS again? I think that I have blocked this memory out ? You seem to be on the same track that we were four years ago. I gave birth February 1st of DH's fourth year, we turned in our rankings on February 12th, and we found out where our new little family would be living for the next seven years four weeks later, and moved across country ten weeks later. I remember that time as a wild, wild ride! Fortunately, the medical life isn't always this chaotic. BEST OF LUCK!!!!!! Sending dream match vibes your way.
