Before we listed our house for sale this summer, there was one pediatrician we knew who looked at it when we bought it originally. We called him and told him if he'd buy before we listed, we could give him a much better price - no realtor. They looked, loved it still, but then looked around and realized how many homes were out there for great prices. He and his wife also owned a lot they intended to build on. Their plan was to re-contact the builder and see what it would cost to build a home on their lot. This was months ago, so DH and I assumed that was the route they had gone, even though we KNEW that our house would cost twice what we had it listed for to build from scratch. This is a beautiful, custom home on a 3/4 acre lot that backs up to a lake with a running/walking path around it. It's a fabulous house - better than the house we moved into here.
Fast forward to today...we get a call from the ped. He wants to look at our house again (and thank goodness we listed him on an exclusion list with our realtor just in case he changed his mind). DH and I are pretty sure he is just going back to do a once-over and make an offer. PLEASE some great iMSN thoughts our way to have it sell before winter!
