Anyone heard of this? Dh and his friends are growing out mustache for men's health awareness. Of course this falls during the month we have two weddings to go too.

I've heard of it. My cousin did this last year, not sure if he's doing it again this year. Guess I'll see in a couple of days when we're on vacay.

Does your DH grow facial hair well? Does it grow fast? You might be alright for those weddings if either is the case. I've seen guys try to grow a mustache or spend 2 months growing a playoff "beard" that looks nothing more than dirt on their upper lip or a little bit of 5 o'clock shadow, versus months of growth.

Some of the guys that DH works with are doing it. DH is not, though. I don't think he really likes facial hair on himself, as long as I've known him (almost 18 years) he's never grown any!

DH and the residents in his program are doing No Shave November. I think some of them are doing Movember (mustaches only), but I told DH if he must grow facial hair, it will be the full beard!

Yep, it's "No Shave November" around here and I honestly think it's just an excuse for guys to be lazy and not shave. Not something dh would ever do. Tons of kids at the public high schools do it.

DH is doing it, but since we are At an Army hospital he can only grow a stache.

DH's program did a Movember contest last year. They posted before and after pictures of all the participating guys, and people "voted" by putting money in bins for them. There aren't a lot of guys in the program, so it was a big deal. Then they forgot to put DH's picture up. He didn't manage to grow much of a 'stache anyway, so he decided not to participate this year.

Anyway, have fun with the facial hair. <-- This was the only smiley I could find with facial hair.

Dh can grow facial hair very easy. Normally he has just stuble, but a mustache is a bit much for me. After a few days it is already filled in UGH

DH decided to torture me by growing out a full beard (though kept trimmed) with no end in sight. The last time he did this was before our wedding and I said e had to shave for pictures. This time there's no end in sight...I wish he was only doing no shaveNovember!

DH, too! He's all wooly by the end of the month, and it cracks me up to see people who have also been participating who look like he does by the end of a weekend off!

Thankfully dh is in the military and if he wants a mustache even it has to be trimmed ala hitler. The 5 o'clock shadow is bad enough (of course he shaves at night so it's really a full days growth) and Josie won't let him kiss her bc "its too scratchy" and I won't let him kiss me w all that stubble either.

I haven't heard of this phenomenon but I'm no fan of facial hair!!

DH used this as an excuse to not shave this a.m.

My dude looks like a giant 12 y/o sans facial hair. Must be nice to look perpetually young, but I much prefer him without a naked noggin.

DH always has a mustache & goatee. The peds hospital discourages facial hair, but we don't care.

My dh always had a mustache and goatee pre military. I hated it, but he loves it. I know he'd grow it out if he could do it in a way that follows regs and still looks decent.
