I didn't quite know where to put this, and I don't want to come off like I'm soliciting donations. I'm not. But, I do have to share this

The part of this story that isn't told....Sylvia Rosenaur Elementary is made up of a student population where 21% of the students receive free and reduced lunch (to compare, we've always lived near a school with about 3%). The teachers can't send out back to school supply lists because the families can't afford school supplies. And yet, this school is trying to raise money to build a school half way around the world. This is the school I tell my children about when we are talking about kids who go to school hungry and don't have warm clothes for the winter.
My friend is the music teacher and it amazes me how involved the teachers at this school are in working to make these children great people and help them give to others, even when they have so little themselves.
