I love my IRL friends and family but I have to admit that I do not call them nor do I check on them on Facebook daily. However (I am not kidding about this) the first thing I do each morning is get the coffee going and check in on you guys. Every-day!! I go through withdrawal if traveling and I can't. DH is well aware that any travel will entail time to get to meet face to face with some of you. Speaking of...I'm headed to SFO soon. Also, I have actually had local friends get a little jealous - there are things I'll tell you (because you get it and because you will always be forthcoming if I am in the wrong) that I would not tell them.

I completely totally agree! I've only been here a short time but all your stories and advice make me feel so much better. There were many times that friends would tell me to drop him and I'd try to explain that it's the nature of residency but I'd still wonder if I was going crazy sometimes. And as niener says, all of you "get it." Thank you!!!
