Just found a sitter for DH's holiday party. In residency, the department chair always had an awesome party at his home, and we loved it. It was literally like a big family holiday party. This party should be fun (I think someone else mention - people who work in the emergency department tend to like a good time). Dh has to work up until the point it starts and I know he'll feel the need to work the room because of his position, so it probably won't be as fun for him as previous parties. I'll still manage a good time, though.

We're still on for the same holiday party as always (hotel ballroom, dinner, dancing, raffle of gifts from attendings), but the hospital is threatening to eliminate free lunches at noon conference next year for budget reasons. Now THAT has everybody up in arms.Julia - legislative process lover and general government nerd, married to a PICU & Medical Ethics attending, raising a toddler son and expecting a baby daughter Oct '16.
