Our middle kiddo's class is covering major world religions in school. They're starting with Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. I've got the Christianity covered (shush, don't laugh), but don't feel like I have enough info to help her out with the other two. Anyone have any links to websites for kids that would cover things like the basic tenets, beginnings, and traditions for Islam and Judaism?

I have to run, but I did a quick google search, and this site, http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch...ion/jewish.htm popped up first and seems to spell out the info pretty well. If you need more, I can continue googling.-L.Jane

I'm not Jewish, but I've often consulted chabad.org to better understand some of the holidays or to make sure I'm saying the right things to MIL and her family.
I haven't looked into the Kids part of the website too much, but if you click on "12 Psukim" at the top, it supposedly goes through the 12 Torah passages that make up the foundations of Judaism: http://www.chabad.org/kids/default_cdo/jewish/Kids.htm. I'm learning about them right now.Event coordinator, wife and therapist to a peds attending

Our middle schoolers study the same thing. At the end they have to make a large prayer garden that encompasses all the faith discussed.Tara

DH's family is Jewish and I've also consulted www.chabad.org to try to understand traditions, explain things to my kids, etc. It's a pretty useful website for non-Jewish people.
