    What are your favorites?

    Looking for:

    1) Games that are fun even if only 2 or 3 people are playing (adults)

    2) Games that you like to play with kids (my DS is 3 1/2)

    Quelf
    Scrabble
    Monopoly
Apples to Apples (need 3 or more players)

Quelf is one of those games that you will spit your drink out laughing.

Settlers of Catan and Dominion have gotten a lot of play in this house. They're not "kid" games - but my 12 year old does just fine. I want Pandemic!!

My family is in love with Ticket to Ride. It is not a toddler game, and I think it's better with 3-5 people, but you can play it with 2.

And Settlers of Catan has a 2-player version called Rivals for Catan. It's supposed to be an update of their card game, which DH and I have and like.

Taboo (4+ is generally a good number of people...you can alter the rules for younger kids.). We like guess who and zingo for the kids.

I Spy Bingo, Zingo, Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders, Guess Who, Memory games are big with kids at 3 1/2. Now they love Hedbanz, dominoes, Trouble, Yahtzee, and card games. We don't really play any games as adults.

We LOVE Cranium, Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, Boggle, Bananagrams ... we're board game nerds. We just got Dicecapades on the advice of a friend, and it was fun. I also bought Split Decision from www.mentalfloss.com, but we haven't played it yet. We did go through some sample cards that came w/another order I'd placed awhile back, and it was fun.

Apples to Apples & Risk. For more kid-friendly...connect four, candy land, let's eat, chutes and ladders.

Those were the two I was thinking were our favorites. Pandemic is fun and can be played with 2 players, so even better. We also like "Ticket to Ride" as well.
