I feel like such a dummy. How do you all have cool avatars? I just can't figure out how to make photos small enough to be able to use them. It says they need to be <19kb.

Send me a pic and I'll see what I can do with it in image editing software? I think if you shrink it pixel-wise first, then save it with medium-ish JPEG compression, you should easily get down under the file size requirements.

I get a picture I like and then use this website to shrink it to the 80 X 80 dimensions.

It gives me three options to choose from and I save to my computer which one I like best. Then I upload it to my avatar option.
