I signed up. Not sure I can keep up with it, but I'm going to try.

Heard about this today...it's really new. I'm not doing it because I don't belong to an actual gym and cannot check in, but the idea is neat. Not sure I'd want to commit to it, though!

In a nutshell, you set a goal for the number of times you want to exercise each week and determine a dollar amount (min $5) that you will lose each time you don't go. Then you use the app to check in at the gym--you have to spend 1/2 hour there. If you don't meet your goal, you lose your money. If you meet it, you get a share of the money those who didn't meet their goal lost.

I don't know. That sounds strange to me. I wouldn't do it--- using actual money...

If I wasn't in residency life I would do that! As long as my losses wouldn't be more than 100 bucks, I would sign up!!

FYI I dropped like 3 pounds for the first day back to dieting! Trying to lose 15 by Valentines.

            Mine are pretty typical
-work out weekly and employ better eating/water drinking habits
-stress less with work and get more done while I am there
-spend more time with my DH, friends and family

I just saw this. I actually think it's a really good idea. I joined my NYC during a promotion where they would give you back your initiation fee (it was something crazy like 500 bucks) if you went 45 times in 60 days. I've pretty much been working out daily since then. The money was a huge motivator!!! And I obviously spent some of that money on spa treatments

I didn't make a new years resolution. It should probably be to stop focusing on the negatives in my life and have a positive attitude.... But I've already broken that! I'll start now

The other thing I need to work on is adding structure to my very open schedule. For example, I need to wake up for 5:45 am spin class instead of going at 4pm. I also need to set strict times for job applications and keep a better calendar of networking events. I was really slaking over the holidays and I need to get my head back on game.

I haven't made a new years resolution in years... Interested to see how this goes!
