Dh is working until 9pm. I bought some goodies from whole foods (cheese, prosciutto, antipasto stuff). We will sip some champagne and likely pass out at 11

DH is on call, and I'm heading to bed. Yawn. See the I'm old post.

Dh is on call. We don't like to do anything on new years either. Dh is studying & we'll probably be in bed before midnight.

Nothin. I've got a cake in the oven, flipping back and forth between basketball and football, DH is studying for ABSITE, that's about it. Some years I'm really in the mood for NYE, some years (like this one) I don't care as much. If it doesn't have the potential to be epic (a la Vegas 2 years ago) I just get annoyed at the drunken morons everywhere and how expensive it is. Just thinking about finding a parking spot downtown right now gives me hives. Where was that I'm old thread again?

Well I got to FaceTime with DH at midnight which resulted in us having a discussion about whether I'm hearing fireworks or gunshots.

Well our plans became stay at home and cook. So we fed the kids frozen pizza and then DH made a yummy dinner and we opened a 10 year old bottle of wine. Dinner was good, wine is good and now we're just vegging. Of course its only 9:30 here

In years past when we've gone out of town or dine something expensive it always ended up disappointing or not living up to the hype. I much prefer to spend time at someone's house and relax. We did that tonight but left early because DH is on call tomorrow. 15 more minutes till 2012 here.

We had dinner, watched football, then the Red Bull motorcycle/snowmobile jump, and now we are putting the finishing touches on the decorations for DD's 3rd birthday tomorrow

I'm so glad we could joke about it! That was some funny stuff watching your NYE pictures pop up. You all were having a good time! I see you made it your profile picture too.

That sounds like a lot of fun rapunzel-- I've never been in a warm climate for NYE before- maybe that would help me get in the spirit! Did you have your own fireworks?
