I have 4 pairs but wear jeans almost every day in the winter. The 2 pairs I wear most often are lucky brand boot cut and have holes in the knees now. I have had them for 4 and 5 years! I think I need new jeans.

How many jeans?

Ok, so I have 9 pairs of jeans. I can't believe I have that many, but since I was a FT grad student for 2.5 years, they were kind of like my uniform. My stash consists of 3 pairs of Target jeans that get worn a LOT (medium-ish wash with a bootcut), 2 pairs from Old Navy that see a fair deal of use (skinny straight and bootcut in a medium wash), another pair from Old Navy (flare in a very light wash) that get worn for cleaning and runs to the grocery store, and a dressier pair from Talbots (I hate how their pants fit me) that have the darkest rinse and are appropriate for work. Then there are a grey pair of really skinny jeans that look great on...until I have to zipper them, and a pair of jeggings from Express in a dark wash that I love.
My general issues with jeans are similar to what MrsK said. I feel like I'm constantly pulling them up, but I know I can't go a size smaller. I have a waist that is smaller than my hips and thighs...until I eat a meal and then, BAM! - my distended stomach occupies that unused space in my jeans. The Target jeans are really comfy (and hide the fact that I've recently eaten, lol) but after so much wear, they don't look so hot. I really want to get new pairs, but I'm just going to have to hold out until we are both gainfully employed.Event coordinator, wife and therapist to a peds attending

wow, I thought I'd be the only one saying that I have 2 pairs that fit. I have another pair that I keep wishing will fit again, but I've finally decided I've got to give them up. I was super tiny pre-baby, and I'm not ever going to get back to that weight.Attorney, mom, married to a vascular surgery fellow!

I wear jeans or my LuluLemon running pants every single day. .Lol. We call it "the uniform" in our little neighbourhood. Lulu tights and a sweater. Lulu tights and a zip up. Jeans and a sweater. Jeans and a lulu zip up.
I have 6 pairs that I wear regularly.
3 pairs of the same Citizen of Humanity skinny jeans (Black, grey, dark blue)
3 pairs of very comfy Gap jeans. One are a pair of skinnies (grey), a pair of trouser style blue ones to wear with wedges, and a pair of boot cut ones that I wear with sneakers.
I wear my COH blue ones almost all of time.
I think that if you've lost weight and are down a size or two, that you should have a pair or two of really well fitting jeans.

I have about a dozen pairs, but at least half of them should go to Goodwill or a second hand shop. They are AF and from college!
I'm right there with you, re: Lulu wunderunders as the new uniform. Any chance I don't have to be in work clothes, they are my go-to!

I have about a dozen but only wear 3 pairs on a regular basis and only 1 size 6 that fits well. I lost 32 pounds last year so I really need to donate all the bigger sizes, but there's a part of me that's always paranoid I'm going to be a size 12 again. Maybe now that we're moving I'll be able to take that leap.
As for styles, they're all bootcut and my favorite pair is actually from Target. I keep hoping this skinny jean trend will pass because I have yet to find a pair that flatters my 5'3 pear shape figure.
WGW, if you have any size 6 or smaller 8's left that are a straight leg or bootcut, I'd love to have them.Charlene~Married to an attending Ophtho Mudphud and Mom to 2 daughters
