Epic Easter Egg hunt at the in-laws. N is on her 2nd Easter dress of the day courtesy of MIL

My kids are going into sugar seizures any minute I tried the one day binge and trash approach this time. I hate the candy lingering around for weeks. I polished off a whole bag of Reese's eggs before we even got to Easter.

Mass was crazy crowded and we ended up standing even though we went to the earliest mass. DH is grilling dinner. It's been a good, laid back day. Miss my family, but talked to everyone on the phone today.

Happy Easter! I had a great day! My in-laws were here for the weekend, and we all went to an amazing church service this morning. After that, DS hunted Easter eggs, and we had lunch. DH and FIL had smoked a ham overnight. They left, and DH took care of the kids and let me get a much-needed nap this afternoon.

We did the one-day binge too. I figure it's better to let their blood sugar surge insanely once than to keep at it for days. (Plus, I can't stand having baskets and that Easter basket grass hanging around)

We didn't do anything else, and that's a-okay with me. It's the first weekend since December that we didn't have any obligations outside of swim lessons and I enjoyed wearing sweat pants thoroughly.

We do one day binges also for Easter and Halloween. We slept in (jet lag from our Vegas trip!) and went out to eat at Ram's Horn (classy!) in our sweatpants.

It was just our immediate family, but we had a great Easter! The highlight of our day...as the priest finished his homily and said, "Happy Easter," the church was silent until DS gleefully sang out, "Happy Easter!". We had many people come up to us afterward and say it was the best part of Mass (it was a very somber seeming Easter Mass for some reason). We had an egg hunt with over 50 eggs for my three children, and they played well together almost all day. Oh, and DH didn't work!!!! I guess that was really the highlight.

K didn't eat any Easter candy! He just wanted the baby carrots from his basket and the apples & bananas are arranged on his table. Ha ha!
