  • Birthday gifts for 4 year old twins!

We are going to get to see some really good friends from med school this weekend. The bride's parents are from here so they're coming back here this weekend and having their twins (one of each) 4 year old birthday party at her parents' house.

We are SO excited to see them but I have NO idea what to get the kids. They live in Boston in a small walk-up so I'm sure they don't need much as far as toys, books, etc. but I want to get them something. And of course they're flying in for the weekend so they have to fly home.

    Anyone?? Suggestions??

Gift cards? D and K are just starting to think its supercool to have their own money to buy stuff.

My go-to gift for the 3-5 set has been the Target Cootie game. Comes in a book type box.

Small stuffed animal (like a beenie baby size) with a gift card tied around its neck. They get to play with the new toy and still look forward to a little shopping spree (we usually do a $10-$15 card).

a fun pass to something in the city? Like a giftcard for a day pass to the zoo, or children's museum, or something that doesn't expire?
Colouring, paint with water or sticker books are a HUGE hit in our house - when we were away we bought our kids some Usborne sticker books that you can reposition the stickers with, Melissa and Doug also make electromagnetic sticker books that are great (especially if they're travelling)

Magtiles, magformers or Kapla blocks. They don't take up much space and all three of my (play-age) children (2, 4, and 8) could disappear for a silent hour or two playing with any of these.

            Have fun visiting!
