The car said 113 while driving in town today and 102 at 8 pm. We are not even in the "hot" part of summer! Yikes!!

Yep here too, 110 on my car thermometer and still 100 after the kids went to bed at 8.
I've now tried CA, didn't like the lack of seasons. MN still loved it but could have done without all of the snow. PNW couldn't even handle a "mild" winter because of the lack of sun. KS is just fine with me, there will be a week or so of this ridiculous weather and ten it will be back to normal.Wife to NSG out of training, mom to 2, 10 & 8, and a beagle with wings.

Last year, we arrived and it was 113.
I am okay with hot, but not okay with "oven cleaning" hot.
Once it gets above 103, I hang out in air conditioned spaces only.

What WGW said. It's summer everywhere but here. Today will be a high of 75. For the most part though we've called this month "Juneuary" because of the unseasonably cold temps in the 50's and 60's and the rain that happens about 80% of the time.PGY4 Nephrology Fellow

Loved loved loved the Bay Area. We got nothing done, because it was always sunny and lovely all year long.
I don't miss the Midwest at all. The extreme weather and humidity were too much for me. Summer were terrible, winters so cold, and the transitional seasons fantastic (but too short!).
The PNW is too rainy and cold, but when it's sunny, you get what the Bay has all year round.married to an anesthesia attending

After Phoenix I can't complain about cool temperatures because at least it isn't like an oven blast hitting you in the face when you step outside. After Cleveland I can't complain about rainy winters because at least the temperatures can't be confused with shoe sizes and the roads aren't covered with salt. I like it here!Alison

I'll take the cool temps over the hot temps too. I enjoy the rain too because of all the luscious green that comes with it but I know it's not for everybody. Last year in July when we arrived we were freezing here. We had a basement apartment and the landlady had the heat turned off. The wet is the kind of cold that goes to the bones. I don't recommend basement apartment living in the PNW.PGY4 Nephrology Fellow
