      The one that drives DH bonkers is Sacajawea. It's pronounced "sa-cog-a-WAY-uh" by his tribe. The "sack-a-JOO-we-uh" pronunciation is like nails on a chalkboard to him.

                yup, the last syllable is less a dipthong and more a short sound like the "Ke" in the name "Kelly" though.

                    If you pull into a parking lot of any military base, you'll see designated spots that say "General Parking". Not me- but a friend of mine assumed that meant general parking like for anyone. No. no. no. It means PARKING FOR THE GENERALS. She got a warning from one of the MPs...
