1st Year Radiology Resident Positions?

So, I know another surgery defector who would like to change over to radiology. Like my DH, he always really liked radiology as well. He still loves surgery but due, in part, to some fairly major health issues, he would like a better lifestyle so he can be around more as his kids grow up.

His program is being really great about it (it was my DH's old program and the program director is being just as wonderful this time around).

They plan to contact each program individually like we did last year but, knowing how wonderful and helpful you all were for me and my DH, I figured it was worth asking if any of you know of any available positions for this next year. Alternatively, were there any positions that went unfilled after Match and SOAP that he could contact?

What year? I know of a program with an unexpected vacancy for a PGY3/R2 slot.

He would be an PGY-2/R1 since switching from surgery...

Any chance they'd be willing to switch it up?
