  • Cardiology Spouses

So, even though I know I've been counseled that DH is very likely to change his mind about specialties before he's done with med school, I'm still curious about those of you who are married to cards specialists. DH is very, very serious about cardiology has it stands, but I have no real way of knowing what that means for us/me after his training is finished and he's an attending. I know IM residency is going to be hellacious, and I used to work in a department with Cards fellows, so I am well aware of how much and how hard they work...but afterwards: what's your life like? DH is especially interested in EP or Interventional, so if you have any insights, I'd love to hear! One thing I've learned from my short time on these boards is that everyone experience very heavily depends on the program they participate in, so that's why I'm particularly interested in the after-training life. Lifestyle/time you're able to see your spouse/their stress level, etc?
