Yeah the immigration journey is not a lot of fun. We started in 2007 with immigration and have been going through the various stages of the process ever since. We'll finally get to close that chapter of our lives before the end of this year hopefully if all goes well. I'm told Naturalization is the easiest part of the process and goes quickly.
I have another need to know question about the Match and Interviews. Is all the correspondence for the interviews sent by email? I need to know if we should expect any snail mail correspondence for the interviews encase we move or change our address during the interview stage.PGY4 Nephrology Fellow
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I'll meet you there.

Most of the correspondence was email, but not all. Also, he could easily get offers off the wait list a few days before, as in: "We'd like to invite you to interview with us in [two days]" and those can come any time during the interview period.Wife to PGY4 & Mother of 3.

All of DH's was emailed. But agree with Scrub-Jay that it was fast and furious on offers, interview dates, etc. It really paid to answer ASAP because often desirable interview dates filled up insanely fast. Uro is an abbreviated match (programs often have only 1-2 interview days) so that contributes but if you have a preference on interview days or try to stack certain cities for travel, it pays to answer back quickly.Married to a Urology Attending! Wow. FIrst I want to say how impressive your research has been!! You will make a great medical spouse with your organization. Wait until he has to start applying for credentialing and licenses.
My DH did the radiology thing. Seems like a dream...he did apply for transitionals separately unless the program offered an inclusive program. I can tell you that if you get a chance and are up for the midwest (not sure where you are from or applying) but the transitional year at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse WI is great! We did ours there and it was a fantastic program. Great people, town and I had a wonderful year. Decent and inexpensive resident housing literally across the parking lot from the hospital. Good luck with your rankings!! Its a tough first decision. The first of many to come!!!!Domestic engineer and CEO of Camp Crazy.
