I do pretty much all the cooking, it's something I enjoy and I'm pretty good at it.

She's very good also, but it's less enjoyable for her, so it just makes sense for me to be the cook.

I'm the same way regarding complicated recipes. I usually save those for Saturday or Sunday (ideally with enough leftovers for some of the busier nights during the week)

I do almost all the cooking as well. DW will do some meals occasionally on the weekend. Since residency started, I almost never do anything complicated- usually 15 max prep time. There's just too much going on and I don't have time. I try to minimize frozen and take out food as much as possible though.

I do the cooking because I get HANGRY if I dont eat at a reasonable hour. On the beyond rare occasion he gets home before me and I leave explicit instructions he will get dinner started. He can't deviate from a recipe though and I usually have this or that that I change in a recipe, so if he does get home before me and starts the meal I usually end up kicking him out of the kitchen. The deal was I cooked and he cleaned. He hasn't been keeping up with his end of the deal lately and I haven't been pestering him because its been a rough year. He will be helping me clean this golden weekend.
