I just don't care where he is, so I wouldn't use it. Haha his choices are: hospital, car, home.
I'm just trying to make it out alive!

Lol, you're totally right! I plan to use the "there are different rules/expectations for adults" card

Mine aren't even driving yet and I have them using it!

I don't think it's creepy at all. We use it all the time. I use it to find my son on the golf course a lot to see what hole he's on so I know when to pick him up.

Yes, I don't get what's creepy about it when you're using it within your family. It was hugely helpful the other day when ds16 got lost downtown.

I can see using this when DH is in random rotation spots over the next couple years... He's going to be doing a lot of driving at odd hours and potentially on wintery roads so it would probably make me feel better being able to see where he is. As for me, well, I'm always home so it will be pretty boring for him!

It also would be helpful if I'm out for a run and DH wants to know where I am but I don't answer my phone.

But you're talking about your kids,
I'm thinking it's weird to me to track your spouse. Perhaps it's because we live 5 minutes by car from the hospital, and I just don't see the reason I'd track him between work and home.

That ship sailed LONG ago; I manage the finances. He can't buy ANYTHING without me knowing about it (unless he pays cash, but then I know how much cash he pulled out and when, too).

We use google latitude; it's not 100% accurate, and often has big "he could be anywhere in this area" bubbles, if the phone can't get GPS signal, but it's good for knowing if he's still at the hospital or on the way home. Handy if he doesn't answer an IM (our usual way of communicating in real-time).

That's a good point, and a difference; we both work more like half an hour away from home (in opposite directions), and I often make stops on the way home for various things.

Same here. And like I said before, the location is never the same.

We live 35 miles from his work. I don't know if he took the train or drove most days. I don't always remember to tell him plans either.

Also, think about how awesome this is in a situation like Boston. You may not be able to tell where someone is at that very moment in a bad situation, but you know where they were and when in a situation where it counts.
