Cheaper on Amazon?

In MS-1, DH got a free Prime/Student membership. In MS-2 we decided to pay for the membership because he bought so many books for classes (and when he wanted them, he wanted them NOW so the 2-day free shipping was key). Now the membership just auto-renewed (gah!) and we're trying to decide if we should keep it because he doesn't have as many hard-copy books to buy.

What are some things that you get cheaper on Amazon, so I can maximize the Prime membership?

I order cat litter on there bc it's easier (and cheaper than wag.com.

Razors can be found for a good price.

Also, don't forget to use the prime movie and tv shows...they've got a decent selection!

We use Amazon a lot for bulk purchases.

Razors! Good one! DH and I both use Mach 3s and those refills are stupid expensive.

I buy things that I cannot get in my podunk town. Also, it is cheaper for things like DH's electric razor blades/cleaning solution etc. I also get my money's worth by watching movies and TV shows...oh and Kindle free books.

We tend to use Amazon for everything - we do our research, price it out and then always check Amazon. You can also do this in a store using their app and bar code scanner. With the prime shipping then you get it in 2 days for free shipping. My husband recently purchased some speakers on there, the box weighed a ton and the shipping didn't cost us a thing.

We don't buy food (unless I find a really good deal on snack type stuff) but a lot of household things.

Ooh, I also just realized, now that I don't have a Wegmans anymore, I can buy my gluten-free flours on Amazon! Way better than Whole Foods. Win.

Our shopping here in the middle of fucking nowhere is pretty dismal, so we use our Amazon prime all the time. Usually, for workout crap for DH. The kids use the streaming movies pretty frequently, too.

We used it marginally the first two years we had it, but this last year we've used it TONS. Computer monitors, mouse, VGA cables, novels, dog treats, sonicare brush heads (WAY CHEAPER THAN ANYWHERE ELSE), I just bought all of DH's birthday presents from amazon (all cheaper than in store, and brands not sold in places like Target or REI or Best Buy but have super high ratings), DH took to buying his school supplies on amazon - pens, pencils, notebooks, the three french presses we've gone through because DH keeps breaking them, SO MANY THINGS. I freaking love amazon prime and the more I use it, the more I realize is available there. I'm currently eyeing a really nice hair dryer and some salon-grade shampoo for way less than in store. Also, the streaming shows and movies are a plus, but we don't use them a whole lot.

There are some students in DH's class who don't have cars, and instead of asking for rides to places like Walmart or Target, they'll just buy everything through amazon with their prime accounts - toothpaste, shampoo, toiletries, laundry detergent, etc. If they can wait two days for it, they'll order. The free shipping more than pays for the subscription fee after just a few orders.

We order all kinds of random stuff - laundry detergent, coffee syrup, k-cups, office supplies, random household items (like the silverware tray for our dishwasher that was missing when we moved in), electronic pieces, gifts for family and friends. They also have videos that you can stream too.

It's often the cheapest for things like appliances, kitchen equipment, and power tools, too. DH has bought his grill and lawn mower from Amazon, and we both got our last computers from there.

i find amazon sometimes has the cheapest--sometimes not. when my wife was pregnant/gave birth--amazon mom came in handy. we order lots of baby formula via subscribe and save...

I use it for lots of things!!! Great for sending gifts since we have family all over the place.
